Birthday Madness

April is the best month ever! It's finally getting warm in Utah and of course April is my birthday month :) So pretty much my boyfriend Matt is amazing and made my birthday perfect. A few weeks ago I mentioned to him that I was really sad that I wasn't going to get my favorite chocolate chocolate chip Nothing Bunt Cake this year. So of course he went online and ordered one especially for my birthday (he even got a yellow bow!) I was so excited and we had fun decorating it the day before. He is amazing and my favorite :) Even though my birthday was the day before finals, I just did a little studying in the morning and then went to PF Changs for dinner with the gang. It was nice to spend the day with awesome friends and helped me not to miss home too much!!

Yeah we are crazy but i love it :)

Come, Listen to a Prophet's Voice

so every tuesday morning there is a devotional at the Marriott Center and today President Monson was the speaker. so naturally i had to wake up at 4:30 am to get in line so i could get a spot up close. My friends from my ward Julia and Morgan came with me and we camped out till 9:30 and then we rushed into the Marriott Center. we ended up being on the third row of risers and super close to the prophet. I have never been in the same room as a prophet so it was a really special experience for me :) When he walked into the room, everyone went silent and stood up. You could just fill the spirit in the room and it was amazing to be that close to a prophet of the Lord.

President Monson spoke about all of the prophets of his life time and told us little stories that really helped me to feel that much closer to them and to know that they are truly called of God.

When President Monson told his assistant that he couldn't let the prophet walk around with a hole in his shoe. His assistant said that he would try and hide the shoes from him but President Kimball always seemed to find him.

Let the games begin!

Wow, what a crazy last two days I've had!!! Yesterday my mom and I spent the entire day driving all of my stuff (packed to the ceiling!) up to BYU in Provo. We spent the night in Syracuse with my Uncle KC and then spent the whole day today unpacking and setting up my room. And believe me, it took the entire day :/. Just to make this super stressful day even better, I locked myself out of the room while we were bringing in stuff from Target and had to go borrow a spare key haha. It wasn't embarrassing at all! Tomorrow we are going to get my books and all that jazz and my mom leaves to go back to Gilbert. It's going to be crazy actually being on my own and I'm super scared and nervous but I know that this will be such a great adventure!

Ps. I already miss Cassie tons and I really wish she was here....
